Monkz Media
Slate
Packaging intelligence for Monkz Media's football YouTube channels.
Slate is an internal reporting tool built for Monkz Media. It shows how the thumbnails and titles of our own YouTube videos perform, so the team can make better packaging decisions for upcoming uploads.
What Slate does
- Reads the list of videos on channels that Monkz Media owns or manages.
- Collects per-video performance figures for those channels: views, watch time, thumbnail impressions, click-through rate and estimated revenue.
- Turns those figures into internal reports and contact sheets that compare thumbnails and titles across videos.
Slate is read-only. It never uploads, edits, deletes or publishes anything on YouTube, and it never acts on a channel.
How Slate uses Google data
Slate uses YouTube API Services: the YouTube Data API, the YouTube Analytics API and the YouTube Reporting API. When a channel owner connects a channel, Slate requests read-only access to that channel's video list and analytics. The data is used only to produce reports for the channel's own team. It is not sold, not shared with third parties and not used for advertising.
Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google Account permissions page. Full details are in the Slate privacy policy.
